ANNUAL ACTIVITIES
Sint Maarten knows how to have a good time. To complement its established reputation as a nightlife center, Sint Maarten hosts major annual activities, bringing thousands of visitors to the island.
Sint Maarten Carnival
Carnival is one of the important cultural events on Sint Maarten. Sint Maarten’s Carnival is about culture, concerts, cuisine, parades and parties. The main attraction remains the parades with spectacular costumes and floats. The cuisines available in the Carnival Village, the hub of the festivities, cater to every culinary delight. From Sint Maarten’s own barbecue chicken, Johnny cakes, conch and dumplings to delicacies from Suriname, Trinidad, Dominica, India, Curacao, North America & Europe if you want it, the Village has it. Sint Maarten welcomes all for three weeks of celebration. So Come, Experience Life!
Heineken Regatta
Held annually, the Sint Maarten Heineken Regatta is one of the largest yachting races in the Caribbean. Taking place during the first week of March, the Heineken Regatta brings hundreds of yacht enthusiasts to the island to compete or partake in the Regatta’s many parties. Bringing ‘Serious Fun’ to residents and visitors alike, the Heineken Regatta is the Northeastern Caribbean’s premiere sailing event.
